The Warrior Soul Project
Thousands of men and women who have served our country and survived the ravages of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan come home to insurmountable difficulties. Readjusting to civilian life, including marriage, jobs, and children, can be very stressful and challenging. Many lose their way, suffering from extreme mental anguish including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
This can lead to homelessness, depression, drug and alcohol addiction, violent crime, domestic abuse and suicide. One in five Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans report mental health problems including major depression.
The Great Octave Foundation is fully committed to supporting these returning Americans as they face the challenges of the aftermath of war. The Warrior Soul project is developing an iPhone App (application) that will provide American veterans of all wars with an easy way to listen to SoulSongs Sound Meditations on iPhones to help in their reentry to civilian life.
The App will provide four different SoulSongs Sound Meditations for veterans to listen to via their iPhones to help with relaxation and to deal with anger, physical pain, and difficulties in relationships.
Doug Robinson of Omnipresent Mobile is donating his services as producer of the App and Shulamit Elson, the spiritual advisor of The Great Octave Foundation, will create the SoulSongs Meditations.
Your tax deductable donations to The Great Octave Foundation will make this project possible. Go to the Donate Page if you would like to make a donation.
